Greetings from Cartek, manufacturer of BEAR Automotive Testing equipment.  My name is Eric Rohs and I am the Director of Marketing for The Cartek Group.  This press release announces an important step in the continuation of the
manufacture of BEAR Robotics and bringing new business to our local economy.  

In order to continue delivering this industry leading product in vehicle alignment technology Cartek needed a new business plan.  That move was acquiring the rights to manufacture these systems in Kalamazoo Michigan versus importing them from Europe.

With the rising cost of the Euro and the need to deliver a quality product on time from our manufacturing facility to our
customers, the logical choice was to bring the work in house to adhere to our standards.   As one of only three manufacturers of wheel alignment systems in the United States, this decision made good business sense for us in the long run.

Service center vehicle alignment are usually preformed using CCD technology to diagnose a vehicle’s alignment condition where robotic based alignment technology has normally been found only in automotive manufacturing plants as a quality control procedure at the end of assembly lines. 

Cartek has redesigned this technology to be incorporated into existing automotive shops on existing vehicle lifts to perform the most accurate vehicle alignments possible today and it can be preformed in only four minutes.

Production of BEAR Robotics is scheduled to begin in Kalamazoo January 1st of 2008.
